In 2008 I purchased an MES-DEA 200-250 AC induction motor for my EV conversion. I particularly wanted and AC motor even though it was more expensive and more complex than a DC motor.
MES-DEA is a now defunct manufactured of vehicle components based Switzerland. Metric Mind a supplier of EV parts based in the United States. How I brought Swiss motor, via the US, for use in Australia is a little convoluted but basically there were not many EV suppliers and components available in 2008, not like now in 2016.

Are the lights flickering on and off? Is the electrical outlet causing you to miss a part of your favorite television show? How come you can't operate several of your appliances in a certain area of the kitchen?
