In MR02EV I use a battery management system from Batrium which includes:
When charging the system ensures cells do not go over voltage by applying a variable bypass and/or throttling the charger output. It can also ensue cell-to-cell balancing is optimum. When discharging the system is passive but will alarm when cells get to hot, or low voltage.
